I always try to keep an aloe plant or two, although the sunny spots they require for best results are hard to find in my garden. Make root cuttings of such plants as phlox, baby’s breath, and Oriental poppy. Flowers are borne on branching stems above dark green foliage. 'Honorine Jobert' is a vigorous, compact Japanese anemone hybrid cultivar which typically grows to 3-4' tall and spreads by creeping rhizomes. In August, waxy white flowers resembling snapdragons are carried high on 4-5’ stems. Exciting foliage plant with green leaves with major creamy-white variegation and purple-blue flowers. The bold foliage of leopard plant provides an interesting contrast with other leaf textures. You know this as a go-to herb in your spice cupboard, but the small flowers on thyme are very attractive to bees.
