Enjoy truly fresh cut flowers when you grow these blossoming perennials in beds or borders. Bottle-brush-like flower spikes rise above the foliage on erect stems. You don't have to be overly cautious about cold weather with Virginia blue bells since they need temperatures under 40 degrees Fahrenheit in order to prepare for the spring.
